4 Tips for getting ready the morning of your wedding
4 TIPS FOR GETTING READY THE MORNING OF YOUR WEDDING:
1. Have Your Bridesmaids Pack Everything Up For You - Hairspray, bobby pins, and everything else that goes in your wedding day emergency kit… make sure your bridesmaids take care of packing all of that up for you. They’ll be ready first, so they’ll have plenty of time to get everything together for you.
Things to include in your emergency kit…
Makeup Setting Spray
Hairspray
Dry Shampoo
Safety pins
Band-Aids
Clear Nail Polish
Mini Sewing Kit
Lipstick
Water Bottle & Snacks
Ibuprofen
Deodorant & Body Spray
Mints
Tissues
2. Dedicate A Good Amount Of Time To Photos - Photos of your big day (from start to finish) are really important. While your photographer will be taking candid shots while you’re getting ready, you want to have at least an hour (if not more) dedicated to taking your bridal portraits, as well as your photos with just your bridesmaids.
It’s always easier to get your bridal portraits done right after you’ve finished getting ready. After your bridal portraits are taken, get photos taken of you with your bridesmaids. It’s important that you take your time so you can get all of the shots on your list. Taking these photos before all of the festivities will make less of a rush for getting photos with family, the whole wedding party, and your couples portraits.
3. Enjoy Your Time With Your Ladies - These are your last moments as a “single” lady with your ladies, so enjoy them. Laugh a lot and spend some quality time with them. Keep making memories! Sing along to dance music in the car on the way to the ceremony, thank them each separately and all together, and really just soak in these moments with them. They’re going to be doing the same.
4. Spend Some Time Alone - Your wedding day is the biggest day of your life. It’s also the most exhausting day! So, it’s important to have some time alone at some point on your day. You will be glad you have that time alone because the rest of the day will be packed with socialising!
