5 Tips for getting ready the morning of your wedding
1. Have A Set Schedule With Buffer Time - It shouldn’t come as a surprise to you that having a schedule for everything to do with your wedding is hugely important, and the same goes for the morning of.
Some things to consider when planning your morning schedule:
What time you want to wake up
Breakfast
Time to be alone and reflect
Buffer time in between each big part of the morning
2. Eat Breakfast & Drink Water - yes I know, I know… you don’t want to get bloated. And to be honest, you probably won’t be hungry on your wedding day due to the excitement of the day. But brides, you have to eat breakfast and drink water. You don’t need to have some huge, hearty breakfast but definitely eat some fruit, a cereal bar, and even a bagel or some toast. You won’t look bloated – promise! It’s important to hydrate yourself, too. I recommend having a bottle of water with you at all times throughout the time you’re getting ready. When you’re hydrated properly your makeup stays on better, your skin looks more youthful, and you’ll feel overall fresh and ready to go. Breakfast, snacks, and water will all help you to be energised for the very exciting and draining day ahead!
3. Lay Out All Of The Details For The Photographer - Most photographers will come over and capture you getting all ready for your big day. Whether this is the case for you or not, be sure to lay out all of your details (wedding dress, shoes, garters, etc.). Even if your photographer isn’t capturing you getting ready, having everything out and ready to go will help you!

Garters
Jewellery
Shoes

Any other special details you want to be captured before the wedding
4. Put The Music On- Music is something that sets the tone for everything. The morning of your wedding, you want to listen to all of your favourite songs and love songs ever. It’ll get help get you even more pumped up and ready for your big day.
5. Have Your Bridesmaids Get Ready First - You know the whole saying, “saving the best for last!” – yeah? Well, you’re the BEST on your wedding day and therefore, should go last when getting hair and makeup done. Let your bridesmaids get up earlier and start their hair and makeup before you.
As far as when it’s time for you to get ready, I recommend getting your hair done before doing your makeup. Your hair is easier to spruce up when needed than your makeup is, so saving your makeup for last will keep it fresh for the festivities.
Speaking of getting ready, make sure you’re able to get ready in a room that has amazing natural light. Lighting is everything and when you’re getting ready for your wedding day, you want the best lighting possible for doing your makeup and for photos.
